Formation of Mountain Ranges

To fully understand the formation of mountain ranges you will have to deal with geological fundamentals such as

• Plate tectonics
• Continental drift
• Orogeny (Greek for "mountain generating") = the process of natural mountain building

This all sounds much more complicated than it really is. I will start with the basics and lots of pictures to illustrate the material.
